Thank you to our volunteers!

by Australian Sailing - Kate Lathouras

The last few months have certainly been busy all around the country and none of the regattas that have been held would have been possible without the help of our volunteers.

Volunteers come from all walks of life; they're our parents, students, coaches, teachers, friends of family members, sailing enthusiasts, adventure seekers and the list goes on.

The stories told and time spent together is the basis of many great friendships from all different places around the country. Many people turn to these new friends when travelling to different states or even to other countries. This is what creates our volunteer community.

If you volunteered at any of the events or intend to volunteer at regattas in the future we want to thank you. Thank you for your time, energy, sacrifices and love that you give to our sport. Volunteers are truely the backbone of any event as we simply can not run them without your help.

We hope to see you at our future events and thank you for your dedication.

From the team at Australian Sailing.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
